University Ministry (UMIN) provides a wide array of activities, events and gatherings for DePaul students, faculty, and staff to connect with one other and to nurture their spiritual and faith lives, regardless of religious affiliation. UMIN provides many opportunities, including our Vincentian Service Day and New Student Service Day, which bring the Vincentian Mission to life both on and off campus.
ABOUT THE SERVICE DAY TEAM
The Service Day Team focuses on providing a valuable experience on Vincentian Service Day and New Student Service Day. We are a passionate group of people dedicated to providing the DePaul community and our community partners with an opportunity to serve the communities of Chicago in meaningful days of service. Courtney is currently a graduate student in DePaul's Community Counseling Master's program. Courtney established her passion for the Vincentian mission while an undergrad student at St. John's University in Queens, NY where she participated in a variety of service opportunities. There she was a member of the women's soccer team and received her bachelor's degree in Adolescent Education. Prior to working at DePaul, Courtney was an assistant coach for St. John's University women's soccer team. Her favorite thing about working at DePaul is working with passionate, spiritual, and energetic students and staff. When not developing service projects at DePaul, Courtney enjoys pursuing creative outlets, outdoor adventures, and playing soccer!

Hi! Im currently an Art, Media and Design major and Graphic Design Minor. I've been a part of VSD since my freshman year starting off as a team leader for a site and have loved every part of it since then. Through the University Ministry and Vincentian Service Day I have been able to find ways to integrate my passion for art and activism in many ways including creating the Arts Against Violence Workshops. DePaul is a great and welcoming community and sharing that community with the broader Chicago area is fantastic work and I'm glad to be a part of it. I hope that together we can create a strong culture of peace, filled with meaning, and open to all.

I am currently a 3rd year student majoring in Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies, and this is my 3rd year on the service day team. I have served previously as the Marketing Coordinator, and I am excited to be in the position this year also. I will be coordinating advertising around campus through marketing materials such as flyers, promotional tables, and T-Shirts. I also look forward to training and preparing all of the team leaders to help them have a successful Vincentian Service Day experience. Hello! My name is Rohini Mortha and I am one of the service day coordinators for DePaul University Ministry. I am currently a Senior in the Dreihaus College of Business, majoring in Business Management and minoring in International Business. I LOVE being a part of the Vincentian Service Day Team because I get to meet so many new people and coordinate service for the DePaul community with my amazing team members. I also enjoy listening to all kinds of music and watching cricket :)

My name is Zach Mares. I am currently a sophomore at DePaul University. I am double majoring in Finance and Accounting. Last year, I got to participate in VSD and now I look forward to working with the service day team. This year, I am a Men of Color mentor for OMSS and I am also a service coordinator for university ministry working with the elderly. This will be my first year part of the team. I will be the Coordinator of Event Operations and Budget Management for the service day team. My job will be to make sure the VSD event schedule runs smoothly and I will also handle all the budgeting for the event. My responsibilities will vary as I will be given various tasks for the team. Overall, I genuinely love doing community service and I am glad that I get to work with such incredible people.

What's Good! My name is Kat Anaza, I'm a sophomore double majoring in Arabic and Communication & Media. I also work for DePaul Community Service Association as a coordinator for DePaul AIDS Project. I had a great experience participating in VSD last year and seeing the culmination of everyone for Blue for Peace after the service. This year, I'm excited to help create those memories for other DePaul students!

Hi, I'm Dasia! I'm at junior at DePaul studying Sociology with a minor in Psychology. Meditation and Music is my thing! I love to meditate, play the guitar and sing in my free time. I am an intern for Vincentian Commuters, where I advocate for commuters and build a community for us (I commute from 95th- South Side!). I am member of the Education Committee of the Chicago Coalition for the homeless where we advocate for homeless CPS students. I am passionate about helping others and pushing for equality and peace in our world. One step at a time we can overcome oppression and live in harmony. Vincentian Service Day is one of those steps and I'm happy to be part of it.

Hi, My name is Suneel. I'm a graduate student at College of Computing and Digital Media. I have been working as the web developer on the Service Day Team for the past couple of years. Working on service days is fun and exciting as well as educating so I am grateful to be on the team. I will be graduating in June 2013 and I still hope to participate in many service days in the years to come! I enjoy filmmaking and watching movies!
