BLUE FOR PEACE

Blue for Peace is part of the President's Interfaith and Community Service Challenge, an initiative which invites universities across the country to develop a project that involves college students and diverse religious communities addressing a specific community issue. At DePaul University, we are focusing on positively contributing towards addressing the pervasive issue of youth violence in the city of Chicago.

This year we continue our Blue for Peace effort by gathering all our volunteers on the Quad for a Peace Festival. This festival will include food, music, resources about how to advocate for peace in our world, and opportunities for artistic expressions of peace!

Chicago Public Schools and DePaul University Community Peacemakers

As part of the President's Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge, the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) & DePaul University Community Peacemakers Initiative invites college students to become involved in a year-long collaboration with high school-aged youth across the city. The partnership matches DePaul Peacemakers with CPS teachers and students to engage in a series of educational classroom-based activities focused on peace and non-violence in an effort to reduce violence in the city of Chicago by promoting peace throughout their school and community.
