Team 15 - Alpha Omicron Pi - YMCA - Lattof in Des Plaines
Alpha Omicron Pi members, join the Lattof Y in the Northwest Suburbs to help them with mulching, planting flowers, and priming/painting the playground area behind the Y and if time allows, cleaning the indoor children's maze and the mini-buses will be taking place. Take a break from the busyness and join this Y for some exciting beautifying! Please note: For Alpha Omicron Pi members only.
Team 24 - Friends of the Parks - Dunning Reed Park - Phi Kappa Psi & Alpha Phi
Phi Kappa Psi brothers & Alpha Phi sisters, help Friends of the Parks green our city by building a trail and preparing flower beds in Dunning Reed Park alongside Chicago Public School high school students; come share in the springtime gardening and cleaning! Remember to bring a pair of gloves and to dress to get dirty.
Team 30 - English Language Academy Team 2 - St. Gregory the Great Church
English Language Academy members, join Saint Gregory the Great Church in serving the Edgewater neighborhood. Since 1904, St. Gregory has welcomed and been home to a wide variety of immigrant and ethnic groups. Presently, St. Gregory's serves a diverse community in one of Chicago's most exciting and creative neighborhoods, Andersonville/Edgewater. Lend St. Gregory a hand by helping with springtime cleaning of the facilities and gardening!
Team 31 - Holy Trinity High School - OMSS Egan, Mazza, & Roach Scholars
OMSS Egan, Mazza, & Roach Scholars! Join Holy Trinity High School, a co-educational, Catholic high school sponsored by the Brothers of Holy Cross, as they educate the hearts and minds of students from the culturally diverse neighborhoods of Chicago in a caring and challenging learning environment. Join us on May 5th for a tutoring session in our Resource Learning Center. We could also use your help with a little spring cleaning and organizing. Please note: this project is only for the Office of Multicultural Student Success Egan, Mazza, & Roach Scholars.
Team 56 - Lakeview Action Coalition - School of Public Service
The Lakeview Action Coalition (LAC) is preparing for an "Action Assembly" on Sunday, May 6th and we need your help! We could use your helping hands in trying to turn-out 750 people by assisting with canvassing the community to advertise the assembly, sign people up, and make sure they know how to get there. We also need a hand with preparing materials for the day. Afterwards, help us staff a table at the Resource Fair of the Chicago Youth Peace Rally so we can spread the word about LAC, the "Action Assembly", and sign-up volunteers!
Team 57 - Cycle Collective - Humboldt Park Ride & Clean-up
Join the Cycle Collective in a bike ride to Humboldt Park for a spring cleaning of the grounds. Bring your bike, of all shapes and sizes, and be sure to wear clothing that you can bike and clean in! Once we wrap up with spring cleaning, we will continue the biking adventure down to the Peace Rally at Union Park.
Team 58 - Theatre School - Little Sisters of the Poor
Theatre School students, faculty, and staff: Little Sisters of the Poor, your new neighbor, would like to welcome you into their home for some springtime cleaning and organizing. Don't miss your chance to freshen up our space and brighten our community residents' day by socializing with them between tasks and over lunch. Come dressed in closed-toe shoes and clothing that you do not mind getting dirty! Please note: this project is only open to the Theatre School only.
